Most of you know the kind of work that I do. It has to look old, beat up run down and has generally seen better days, so as you can well imagine when I saw this photo of a New Orleans abandoned mansion with all its character, I had to try and reproduce it. The photo didnt show the whole building, so I only made a part of it. Here are some shots.
This is Great, or more than Great!
ReplyDeleteYou make the most fantastic models. Streets, houses, mansions, small scenes or large ones - you master them all!
Compered to your expertise I am not even a beginner - more a newt.
I get much inspiration from your blogg even if it dont show in my own creations - but I am learning =)
Thank you Galdarbjelke, I'm glad I can be of some help

DeleteHello.
ReplyDeleteSmashing.
I first thought, this is Sleeping Beauty's tower.
But the real building, even more amazing
Thanks Maximex

ReplyDeleteThank you Isabel
DeleteFantastic terrain, Richard. It has so much feel to it.
ReplyDeleteMasterful modeling, Capt. Not often does one see a model where the plaster is seen pushed through the lath with a trowel. If the old house could talk, You could charge at least $1000.00/plate for the privilege of hearing some whopper tales.
ReplyDeleteThat is stunning Captain!! I really like this building, a truly fantastic model with all the added touches!
ReplyDeleteThank you Rodger
DeleteIt does look great and I really like the for sale sign touch!
