Advertising notes of the 19th and early 20th century
Greetings everyone,
After the Civil War there was alot of Confederate currency available. Businessmen were printing on the back of the notes and advertising there businesses. When the Confederate currency ran out they printed their own currency. Here are a few examples from the 50.00 note of the late 1860s to 1931

Counterfeit Confederate currency is probably one of my most extensive collections...mainly counterfeits from S.C.Upham. Here are some examples of his work ranging from 5 cent notes to 20.00 notes.All of these have gone thru the war with the tag lines cut off.
