Mean streets
Greetings ledheads,
Nothing new here...just a few different shots of my spanish structures and the streets and alleyways. If you'll notice on the last shot, some ancient graffiti chiseled into the stone...actually a piece of paper off the computer glued and blended into the wall.

The train is coming...slowly
Greetings leadheads,
When I was in my other house I had a static train layout running on a H.O. track. H.O. is too small for 25/28mm, so what I did is rebuild these two cars out of cardboard on top of the H.O. cars. The addition of the cardboard made the cars bigger...wider and taller and closer to S scale , which is where this has to be. The bottom of the cars is set up for H.O. which will change to S scale to run on a wider track. Finding an S scale Civil War train will not be easy, but this is a start. The flatcar is transporting a siege gun and gun powder.

A couple pieces get a face lift
Greeting ledheads,
I was just reworking a couple of pieces that were done a while ago. I added a flag, the 37th cavalry flag which you don''t see very often. On the infantry piece I changed the battle flag to a brighter red and added battle honors. I don't really know what I want to work on next, so I'm piddling around with individual pieces. eventually I'll do bigger things like maybe add a working train going around the table. Something will come up.

The Civil War Medal of Honor

Heres something you won't see everyday, at least not a real one. This is a reproduction Civil War Medal of Honor. In the U. S. it is illegal to buy or sell a real MOH . The going rate for a Civil War MOH is approx. $10,000. A medal from WW2 to the Vietnam War is about $300,000. So Im happy enough to settle for a reproduction which also are not available in the U.S. This particular one came from Australia. During the Civil war 1522 medals were issued. One being issued to a woman doctor, and the last one issued to a soldier from the Civil War was in 2001, the delay being caused by a missing report. There were 2 versions of this medal, the first one was from 1862 to 1895 and the 2nd one with a totally different ribbon was issued from 1896 to 1903.

Carrier trays for the little guys
Greetings leadheads,
A while back I put up some carrier trays that I made for the troops. I was living in my other house at the time. When I moved, the box they were in never made it to the new location. By mistake they were thrown away. I made some new ones out of styofoam and foam glue to it, nothing fancy...except this one.

Hale Rocket Launcher
Greetings leadheads,
I made one of these a couple of years ago...I was just going to change the launch tube but I ended up redoing all of it. The union soldiers feeding the rockets stayed the same. The Hale Rocket Launcher was first used by the New York Light Artillery 24th Independent Battery.
