Union mortar

Gentlemen, good evening,
Just a few quick shots of my Union mortar which is a 3/4 inch socket with a washer in front...all the rest of it is made of cardboard.

  1. Beautiful scratchbuilt mortar. By-the-way, I really like the header-vignette of the flag painter. I painted for 35 years and I can tell you right now... this fellow is a 1st class journeyman!

My buddy Tony brought over some ACW booklets from the US a couple of years ago when visiting us and they had some pics of the large mortar type guns and you have captured the feel.

  3. P.S. I should have mentioned I think they were Confederate (not Union) in the pics T brought over. Never seen Union heavy mortars.
    Love your block C.
