Union mortar
Gentlemen, good evening,
Just a few quick shots of my Union mortar which is a 3/4 inch socket with a washer in front...all the rest of it is made of cardboard.
Beautiful scratchbuilt mortar. By-the-way, I really like the header-vignette of the flag painter. I painted for 35 years and I can tell you right now... this fellow is a 1st class journeyman!
Superb Captain, Absolutely Superb! My buddy Tony brought over some ACW booklets from the US a couple of years ago when visiting us and they had some pics of the large mortar type guns and you have captured the feel. Top stuff Awe ra best Paul
P.S. I should have mentioned I think they were Confederate (not Union) in the pics T brought over. Never seen Union heavy mortars. Love your block C. Cheers Paul
Well done and very creative!
