Now for something different...fantasy junkyards

Hello everyone,
Now and then I'll put something up that has nothing to do with the civil war. Classic car, race cars, been a road racing fanatic most of my life. Think about the kind of cars you would never see in a junkyard. A couple of marques come to mind, Ferrari, Bugatti to name a couple. Well, what if they were in a junkyard, what would they look like? With out a doubt this would be a fantasy junkyard. A couple of models that I've chosen are the 1961 Ferrari short wheel based berlinetta and the 1928 35B Bugatti grand prix racer. If you walked into a junkyard and these two cars were in front of you, would you reach for your wallet and say how much?..I know I would.

  1. What a delightful idea; my favourite is the Bugatti with the tree growing through its engine block. Great stuff Captain.

  5. Wow; not only different, but just as impressive as all of your work. Truly museum quality stuff. Man, that Ferrari is cool - and I'm normally a Porsche fan. Regards, Dean

  6. Wow, now that is unexpected -- and cool in the extreme. And you're right of course. If I walked into a junkyard and saw these two cars there, heck yeah, I'd ask "how much?"

  9. Captain, these look absolutely fantastic. Wonderful weathering, and it's great to imagine the stages that it takes for the vehicle to rust and decay. Great, inspiring stuff!
