Anybody out there with this kind of luck????

Greetings everyone,

This is just a short story about being in the right place at the right time.
Discovered in Ohio.  1962 Ferrari GTO #3589, 1 of 36 GTO's built from 1962-1964.
All 36 were race cars, winning just about everywhere they raced. Number 3589 had an extensive
race history retiring in 1964. It was donated to Victoria Texas High School, given to the shop class for practice. It was finally sold in 1972 at auction for the high bid of $6,500. All 36 GTO's are accounted for. All of them have a value  each of 40-45 million dollars.  The last photo is what it looks like now.

  2. Beautiful looking car! Did the original buyer in 72' do the rebuild? Does he still own it or did he sell making millions?

  3. Slightly off subject but I recently saw this on Ebay and if I could afford it - this would be my weekend Runabout;

  4. I love the elegant style of this generation of cars - Porsche, Lotus, etc. Hmm, I must admit, I prefer Ferrari's in red :) Best, Dean

    1. Black is not common in Ferraris…Red or Yellow are the most common

  5. Back in the 1970s when I started my business, I was doing the printing for the Ferrari Club in Pennsylvania. The person who ordered the work was in town so he came to my house to pick up his work. He pulled in my driveway with a 1964 Ferrari GTO that raced at LeMans. He paid $9000.00
    for the car and sold it years later for $300,000.00…I bet he's sorry
