Landscaping the backyards of a Civil War town

Greetings everyone,
Starting to do a little more ground work on the town section. Instead of using ballast like I did in the Confederate sections, I'm using imitation rabbits fur to give it that wild grass unkept look. The fur is painted with forest green and desert yellow in different parts, the fur starts out a dark brown. The fence is an h.o. straight track with the rails taken off.
