More on counterfeit civil war currency

Greetings everyone,
Back in April of last year, I put up a counterfeit 20.00 that was printed by S.C. Upham the counterfeiter from Philadelphia. Since then I acquired quite a few of his counterfeits. On February 24th 1862, The Philadelphia Inquirer printed on the front page a $5.00 confederate note. Most people in the North never seen any examples of Confederate currency. The paper sold out in minutes. S.C Upham
found a way to make money by printing confederate currency. The note you see on the front page was the first of many that he printed and sold. In the beginning he had a tag line on the bottom of the note stating that this is a facsimile along with his address. Well people just cut that line off and spent the money. The note you see here has the tag line still there.
