Advertising notes of the 19th and early 20th century

Greetings everyone,
After the Civil War there was alot of Confederate currency available. Businessmen were printing on the back of the notes and advertising there businesses. When the Confederate currency ran out they printed their own currency. Here are a few examples from the 50.00 note of the late 1860s to 1931

  4. Didn't know this. Thanks for following me. I've out you on my blog roll.
Perhaps you can help me with a mystery I've been trying to clear up for some years now. Was there ever an issue of Arizona Confederate currency? I can't find any reference to it in the few sources available to me on this side of the pond, but when I was in Arizona I heard several mentions of it. I've written about it here:

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    1. Hello Sean,
I've never seen any confederate currency from Arizona. I'll look into it with some of the resources that I have available to me.
